Successful completion of this professional-level, self-guided, online course results in a five-year certification from the National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association. The Approved Trainer is certified for five years to train anyone to perform urine specimen collections for federally regulated and unregulated drug-and-alcohol screening. The Approved Trainer also receives from NDASA learning materials and training-completion certificates to support their own instruction.

This annual professional examination will help maintain the highest regulatory compliance and industry performance as a Certified Drug Test Collector (CDTC). The exam reviews scenarios pertaining to 49 CFR Part 40, helping to ensure the collector has a full grasp of the requirements and expectations of collections processes.  

This professional-level online training course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to become a qualified Drug Test Collector in the Non-DOT setting, performing non-regulated drug test collections for any industry. To complete your training, you must schedule mock collection demonstrations with a qualified trainer either in person or virtually. The cost of the mock demonstrations is not included in the online course cost and may vary by trainer.

Upon taking and passing a final examination with a score of 90% or higher, course participants will be issued professional certification confirming they are eligible to take on the role of a federally qualified Medical Review Officer Team Member and follow high standards.

This online course is self-guided and can be completed according to the student's schedule. Required consecutive error-free mock demonstrations are not included with this on-line training course.
